This was a perfect day. The temperature was warm yet comfortable, the breeze was refreshingly playful & the dappled sunshine filtering through the trees was breathtaking. From her sweet summer dress to her brilliant blue eyes, I could have photographed this beautiful senior all day long!

Maja came to visit me a few Sundays ago & we just photographed & chit-chatted the afternoon away in the studio. I’ll give you one guess, after seeing these pictures, as to what this senior has spent most of her high school career doing???…yep! Basketball! I couldn’t believe how many bars & stars she had all over her letter jacket! How awesome is that!?

Sometimes when I am editing I will realize that I am sitting at my computer with the biggest grin on my face…this happened like 12 times with this little guy! How can you not absolutely fall in love with him??? I just so happened to have Dave’s electric blue guitar with me in the studio on this particular day & couldn’t not use it once I saw the striped hat & little sneaker socks mom brought! What a little rocker! We only had a few tears at the very end of our session but that picture is simply one of my favorites!

I can honestly say that I have never photographed a turtle during a session before but I would do it again in a heartbeat! I’m fairly certain Tilly had her eye on the lake most of our session…but that didn’t stop us from getting some great shots! Nikki is headed into her Senior year and she was such a breath of fresh air to photograph…laid back, casual & simply beautiful (not to mention that gorgeous hair! What I would GIVE for a little curl!)!

Meet Katy & Maxwell. If ever there was a huge dog that was convinced he was a lap dog, Maxwell is him! Katy just graduated from the U and thought it would be fun to get some pictures of her & Maxwell to send along with her graduation announcements. I simply can’t get over Katy’s smile…& that long brown hair! Inspires me to keep growing mine! & Maxwell was pretty exhausted by the end of our session together…made for the perfect picture!

Minneapolis Studio Launch & Benefit Event | Camp Get-A-Well-A

Come, be a part of the celebration. Our studio has moved-downtown

minneapolis. I know, we love it and we are excited about it. So excited

that we want to share it with you and make a difference in the lives of

some well deserving kids. We are photographers. We love your

families on your perfectly dressed and discheveled days. We love

your kids on both their sweetly smiliey and grumpy days. Yes, even

when they are turning the studio upside-down. We love what we do

and that’s why we are turning our re-launch party into a benefit with

super awesome giveaways. I’m talking SUPER awesome. We are

parterning with LIMEgreen, people who know how to make an impression,

and with their help, this will be the benefit event of the season to be at.

A small donation ($5, $10, $25, $???) will go a long way to proving camp

experiences to sick kids in hospitals this summer through

Camp Get-A-Well-A. And remember those super awesome giveaways?

With each donation you can enter to win one. A complimentary

session with Christina or Natalie, print packages, consultation with an

interior designer, gift baskets, artwork and so much more.

As many of you may or may not know one of my favorite not-for-profits is Camp Get-A-Well-A. Through some friends I had the pleasure of working with them on some graphic design projects a while back…one thing led to another and well, they’ve grown on my heart! How could they not!? JoLanne and the rest of the volunteers are committed to bringing camp experiences to sick kids in hospitals all over the nation. For many kids, this is the only camping experience they will ever have as they are confined to the hospital due to their illnesses.

As many of you also may or may not know yet my studio is moving downtown and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be sharing the space with fellow photographer chrissie marie photography. So we started thinking that we wanted to have a party to celebrate being in our new space…but we also wanted to give back…so we brought in some event planner friends of ours, LIMEgreen, and voila! Our Launch and Benefit Party is a go!
