These two little busy bodies are on the GO! At 13 months Weston is standing up & walking around…Esther is almost there too! It was so much fun to switch up my normal routine & visit their home to take the pictures! Grandma brought along red flowers with her & Mom had the most adorable little bathrobes for them to wear. Esther was not enthused to be in the tub & spent most of her “tub time” in daddy’s arms…but once Weston figured out how to turn on the water, that was it, he was hooked!

When Jordan & her mom Jenny came out to my place for their session Jordan was about 18 months old & mom was expecting another little one soon! Well, last week their family of three officially became a family of four! Newborn pictures coming soon! On this day however, we ended up exploring some of the fields around my place in the early evening…love the setting sun! We even recruited my sister to help entertain Jordan so we could get a few maternity shots of Jenny too!

This first one is of Ellen…I needed a model so I could practice a little with the light! And if any of you know my sister then you know that she ALWAYS wears her hair up…I would recognize this silhouette anywhere!

And then it was Jordan’s turn!

Jenny was my first client when she was pregnant with Jordan. How fun it has been to work with her as her family is growing!

I love how the sunshine plays like a little star above Jenny’s head!

I’ve had the privilege of photographing this cute little family since Ellie was 9 months old! I love being able to go back to previous sessions to see how my families are growing! The first picture is a spread of Ellie at 9 months, 1 year and 1.5 years…I’m in love with the depth of her eyes! Big brother Nick is quite the good listener and a sweet big brother…and he was super fun to play and take pictures with! Mom & Dad are expecting another little one in October and I simply can’t wait to get their next addition in the studio!

Ok, so this will be the second Matilda Jane Trunk Show I have had the privilege to put on for my clients & friends and I simply can’t tell you how EXCITED I am about this new fall line! It’s called “Field Trip” & it is sure to be a smashing success with parents & little ones alike! The show will be on Tuesday the 10th of August 2010 at my studio, downtown minneapolis, from 6pm – 8pm. Matilda Jane clothes make for incredibly adorable props for photographers, sweet outfits for special occasions & are super comfortable to play in everyday! Christina graciously dressed up her children (who am I kidding, these kids dress better than I do!) & brought them do to the studio the other afternoon so we could photo-talk & I could play with my new camera. Such little personalities!

I don’t think I have ever in my life had someone get so much JOY out of a prop I brought to a session! If only everything I tried got this kind of reaction! Lauren was just a little DOLL on the day of our session even though she wasn’t feeling the best…but you certainly can’t tell from these pictures!

Remember being a kid and being able to do this? Oh how some days I wish someone would throw me up into the air like this!

Scarlett is 6 months old now and oh how I LOVE taking pictures of my families as they grow! The picture on the left below was taken when Scarlett was 3 months old and the picture on the right was taken at her 6 month session. Time seems to be going by so fast these days…looking at Scarlet now, I think, “wow! She’s so little!” but look at her even 3 months ago! Such big “little” changes in this little ones life!
