I started taking pictures of Jordan when she was still in her mommy’s tummy. In fact, Jenny was my first “real” client after I decided to take the leap into pushing my photography! And how funny is this…I took her pictures with my point&shoot in my sisters loft! I didn’t have my 35mm digital yet, I used sheets and blankets for backdrops and made my sister hold the ends up that I couldn’t clip to the blinds or stick to the wall…thinking back I giggle to myself about how I didn’t know what I was doing AT ALL, but we had so much fun, and man(!) did I have a PASSION for this! It was my first small taste of all of this amazingness that was to come and so to Jenny I say THANK YOU for trusting me back then!
I couldn’t start out this post without a few from my first session with Jenny…I think these will always be two of my all time favorite pictures…even though they are pixelated and not exposed exactly correctly, for me, these pictures not only symbolize the beginning of Jenny’s journey with motherhood but my journey as a photographer.

Fast forward and here we have little miss Jordan! What a cutie! Seriously, how could you not want to squeeze those cheeks?!

I love how fine Jordan’s baby hair is and the sunset was perfect on the day of our session for capturing it!
