I’ve had the incredible opportunity to photograph several events for Metro Magazine & The Social 360 over the last couple months. Up until now I’ve been so busy with the wedding I haven’t really had the opportunity to tell you about them! First up was the Christopher Straub Fashion Show which you can see HERE. This was such an amazing event to photograph! Janice Dickinson was on hand to introduce Christopher Straub & the fashion brought a lot of applause, ooh’s & ahh’s! The outfits were a little risky, a little cutting edge & a little organic…such an eclectic mix!

Next up was the 7th Annual Social Butterfly Event benefiting Care Partners, a program of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. This event was held on the rooftop of SEVEN and can be seen on The Social 360 site HERE.

And lastly I photographed Glamorama which can be seen on The Social 360 site HERE & in the newest issue of Metro Magazine out on news stands soon (it might even be out now?)! Below I have posted just a few of my favorite images from the evening…

Shortly after I got my new camera Christina & I headed down to the studio to play…well, it was mostly me playing and her laughing at me as I continually ooh’ed and ahh’ed over this new toy! The kids were playing & running & running & playing…but I managed to get a few!

“It makes your day, all day. That is what I want Matilda Jane Clothing to do, make the girl smile from ear to ear. I want her to love what she is wearing and be proud of how she looks. I want Matilda Jane to showcase the sweetness of the child. I try to keep the silhouettes simple for that reason, it’s not about the fancy embroidery, it is about the darling girl wearing it. I want your little girl not to fight with you on what to wear, I want her to be comfortable and I want her to be happy! And that is it.”

I have already said it once and I will say it again…this is EXACTLY why I LOVE ~ LOVE ~ LOVE this clothing so much! If you haven’t heard of Matilda Jane clothing you need to come to our Open House. Minneapolis Studio Launch & Benefit Event | Camp Get-A-Well-A

Come, be a part of the celebration. Our studio has moved-downtown

minneapolis. I know, we love it and we are excited about it. So excited

that we want to share it with you and make a difference in the lives of

some well deserving kids. We are photographers. We love your

families on your perfectly dressed and discheveled days. We love

your kids on both their sweetly smiliey and grumpy days. Yes, even

when they are turning the studio upside-down. We love what we do

and that’s why we are turning our re-launch party into a benefit with

super awesome giveaways. I’m talking SUPER awesome. We are

parterning with LIMEgreen, people who know how to make an impression,

and with their help, this will be the benefit event of the season to be at.

A small donation ($5, $10, $25, $???) will go a long way to proving camp

experiences to sick kids in hospitals this summer through

Camp Get-A-Well-A. And remember those super awesome giveaways?

With each donation you can enter to win one. A complimentary

session with Christina or Natalie, print packages, consultation with an

interior designer, gift baskets, artwork and so much more.

So yeah, it’s pretty awesome. And you are exclusively invited.

As many of you may or may not know one of my favorite not-for-profits is Camp Get-A-Well-A. Through some friends I had the pleasure of working with them on some graphic design projects a while back…one thing led to another and well, they’ve grown on my heart! How could they not!? JoLanne and the rest of the volunteers are committed to bringing camp experiences to sick kids in hospitals all over the nation. For many kids, this is the only camping experience they will ever have as they are confined to the hospital due to their illnesses.

As many of you also may or may not know yet my studio is moving downtown and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be sharing the space with fellow photographer chrissie marie photography. So we started thinking that we wanted to have a party to celebrate being in our new space…but we also wanted to give back…so we brought in some event planner friends of ours, LIMEgreen, and voila! Our Launch and Benefit Party is a go!
