Jenny brought Luke down to the studio the weekend before I got married for his newborn pictures! We had just recently taken Luke’s big sisters pictures (Jordan) & I couldn’t believe how little Luke seemed to be compared to Jordan! I forget how tiny newborns are! This was a super fun session for me too…I needed a creative release before the wedding & the timing on this couldn’t have been better!

We had some very BIG yawns from Luke…he was fighting sleep our entire session!

This one below is kinda funky…but I am loving it!

What’s great about being plugged into a network of other photographers is being able to work with one another and learn from one another! Such is the case with these two adorable little boys! Christina, of chrissie marie photography, asked me to help out with these little ones and how could I resist!? I’m fairly certain that they only weighed about 6 pounds each when they visited us at the studio…by far the smallest newborns I have had the chance to work with! Typically at a session like this, I’ll be hands on, posing and moving the babies around while Christina finds just the right angle and light to get her shot. Every now and then, when these little ones actually fell asleep, I would snap a few pictures too. This is going to be one busy little family!

This little guy was up for most of our photoshoot…truthfully so much of the time I get my best newborn pictures in about the last half hour of our session! I think by then I must completely wear out these little ones and Cooper was no exception! And I LOVE this picture of him yawning…every time I look at it I yawn too!

Oh, how fun to have a newborn to photograph around Valentines day! Several things made this session especially fun for me…Mom & Dad are friends of mine from high school, I was able to visit them at their home for the session (I’m falling in love with on location shoots!) and to top it all off, Sam is simply a beautiful little baby boy! His hair is this creamy shade of reddish brown, and even though I photographed him at a little under two weeks old he was still so tiny!

December babies are my favorite babies. Ok, you got me, I am completely partial to December babies because I am one myself! But still! There’s something in the air in December that gets me excited to photograph newborns…and with a name as beautiful as Scarlett, well, I was smitten from the moment I laid eyes on her!

Mackenzie came to visit Christina and I at the studio last weekend! Talk about a little bundle of love! She was very wiggly and curious about everything going on around her. I LOVE the picture of her and her dad’s hands on her head…look how tiny her little fingers are!
