I find that the casual moments between the posed moments tell the true stories of who we really are & it's catching these images on my camera that fuels my passion for photography.
Colorful & quiet moments, emotion, how the light softens a smile, the anticipation of new parents with a little one on the way, relationships, the tiny features of a newborn, the curiosity of a 6 month old, the exuberance of a 4 year old, the love that a family shares, the independence of a graduating senior, the diversity of actors, & the glamour, simplicity & romance of a wedding...I simply can't get enough of it all!

This little guy was up for most of our photoshoot…truthfully so much of the time I get my best newborn pictures in about the last half hour of our session! I think by then I must completely wear out these little ones and Cooper was no exception! And I LOVE this picture of him yawning…every time I look at it I yawn too!

Lots and lots to edit! Up first these two little dolls! I’m fairly certain Weston & Esther are right around 9 months old in these pictures but I thought the balloons would be a fun even though we weren’t celebrating a birthday…I mean birthdays! Esther was a little hesitant with the balloons but Weston jumped right in! And how cute are Esther’s painted toes and Weston’s polka dot pj’s? Love it!
Between Addie’s pouty looks, Ryan’s energetic expressions and Maggie’s adorableness (I’m not sure that is a real word but it is appropriate so I am using it!) I simply had a wonderful time with these kids! They kept me on my toes for sure…but I think I kept them on theirs too!
I was thrilled when I got the call from Sarah Baumann, Edina Magazine Editor, and found out that she was interested in sending out a photographer to cover the benefit we put on for Camp Get-A-Well-A last month! Oh, how fun to have a newborn to photograph around Valentines day! Several things made this session especially fun for me…Mom & Dad are friends of mine from high school, I was able to visit them at their home for the session (I’m falling in love with on location shoots!) and to top it all off, Sam is simply a beautiful little baby boy! His hair is this creamy shade of reddish brown, and even though I photographed him at a little under two weeks old he was still so tiny!
